These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of KinLock (the "Service"), operated by Peter Marullo as a sole proprietorship ("KinLock," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

KinLock helps families protect themselves against AI voice-cloning and impersonation scams. Account holders can enroll trusted family members and assign each one a private safe-word, delivered by SMS, that can be used to verify the identity of a caller claiming to be that family member.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a KinLock account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account.

Program name: KinLock Safe-Word Alerts.

Description: By using KinLock, you consent to receive (a) one-time passcodes to verify your own phone number, and/or (b) private safe-word messages sent to phone numbers you provide for family members you enroll. Message frequency varies based on your use of the app (typically once per family member enrolled, plus occasional verification codes). Message and data rates may apply.

For help, reply HELP to any KinLock message, or email peter.marullo@gmail.com. Reply STOP to any KinLock message to opt out of future messages to that number at any time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

KinLock is offered on a subscription basis with a 30-day free trial; no credit card is required to start a trial. After the trial, paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel or change your plan at any time from the Account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

You agree not to:

• Use KinLock to harass, impersonate, or deceive any person
• Enroll a phone number you do not have permission to contact
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or abuse the Service or its APIs
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

KinLock is a tool intended to help reduce the risk of falling for a voice-cloning or impersonation scam. It is not a guarantee against fraud, and we are not liable for any loss resulting from a scam call, whether or not you used KinLock to attempt verification. Always use independent judgment and verify suspicious requests through a second channel when in doubt.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KinLock and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

You may stop using KinLock and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or its users.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
